about
Subway Train is about a character who is independent and has something to say and can contribute in some way. But everyone at some point gets a little tired. It’s about a character who has so much ‘potential’ to be something. There’s all this pressure to do something with that potential.
But you really need to lay down and process what’s going on, otherwise you might go down the wrong path, of, that’s not yourself. It’s about taking a break from the pressure of expectations and knowing that it’s okay to take a step back and enjoy the process of being yourself and growing up.
lyrics
Wasting some time
Picking up dollars in change
The blind man is watching his cane
Lying in a subway train
Just lying in a subway train
Sit next to me
I'm reading a paper from May
It's cold but I've got a place to stay
Lying in a subway train
Just lying in a subway train
We like sitting around in times like this
Stuck at the pace of the train
In times like this, times like this
World in his hands
But deep in his pockets they stay
Never thinks much of today
Lying in a subway train
Just lying in a subway train
Lying in a subway train
Lying in a subway train
